Group Visits & Scheduling
- To schedule a Group Visit, call 531-3555.
- Group Visits are scheduled for 1.5 to 2 hour time periods, leaving time for students to explore the Museum.
- Please schedule Group Visits at least two weeks in advance to allow for adequate staffing and preparation.
- Reservations for a Group Visit require a non-refundable deposit. These visits can be rescheduled without a loss of this deposit in cases where the change is confirmed more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled visit. The remainder of the balance is due on the day of the visit.
- Checks are accepted as a deposit and must be received within three days of booking to hold the reservation.
- Field Trip lessons are approximately 30 minutes each. Larger groups will be divided into sub-groups for lessons.
- Orpheum Group Visits are suited for a minimum of 10, and a maximum of 60 students. Adult chaperones are admitted free of charge. We require a 1:5 ratio of chaperones to students.
- A confirmation email and invoice will be mailed upon receipt of your deposit. We invite you to stop by and tour the museum before bringing a class.
- Groups may enjoy eating lunch on our balcony, which seats up to 32. Please schedule this at the time you schedule your field trip.
- The Orpheum is in downtown Champaign and is four blocks from West Side Park which offers picnic tables and a playground. Our gift shop offers inexpensive education and science toys
